Patrick Metcalfe

Patrick Metcalfe is a Canadian midfielder who has been with the Vancouver Whitecaps since March 2016 when he joined the U18s. He has progressed through the Academy playing for the Development side while training with the MLS side. Patrick became the 20th Whitecaps FC Academy Product to sign an MLS Homegrown Contract on 23rd January 2020. He spent 2019 playing with Whitecaps FC Development Squad including being a major part of the side during their trips to England, South Korea and Mexico. He has made 35 starts for the academy side including the 2016 Academy Championship Finals.

Patrick made his Debut during the MLS Is Back Tournament when he came off the bench in a 4-3 loss against Seattle Sounders. He then followed this with his MLS Debut on the 15th July against San Jose Earthquakes.

Metcalfe was named to the Canadian U23 provisional roster for the 2020 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Championships on February 26, 2020
